Blizzard Entertainment claims that players have been requesting to play goblins for some time now. They have finally decided to make this race a playable race for Horde characters in WoW. As more information comes out on the release of Blizzard’s next expansion ‘Cataclysm’ we find out just a bit more about this new playable race. Goblins have had their own leveling grounds add for levels 1-15. Players wishing to play them will start out on the Isle of Kezan. Also with the introduction of ‘Cataclysm’ there will be no restriction on what class certain races can play. From this new addition we can conclude that goblins will be able to choose any class of their choice.
A lot of players are becoming vary excited about the new playable race as well as many other additions to the currently out dated World of Warcraft Game. The current level cap is being moved from 80 to 85 with a lot of new raid content as well. The entirety of the original World of Warcraft world will be revamped to include new Cataclysm quests and zones. This should provide old players with some new sights while leveling their goblin characters. Opening up a whole new gaming experience, World of Warcraft is one of the first MMORPGs to revamp old content for an expansion. This new perspective on expansions is sure to catch on to many other games currently out on the market.
While not everyone is as excited about the new goblin playable race there are many people who are eagerly awaiting this addition. Some argue that the Horde, who traditionally are a ruff and tough bunch, should have received the worgen playable race instead of the goblins. There is no current release date for ‘Cataclysm’ and only time will tell us if this expansion is a hit or miss.
